Subscriptions

How do I cancel my subscription?
  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap VTaper Max.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down to see it.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your subscription renews to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app doesn't cancel your subscription. Your progress stays on your phone.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open the app and tap "Restore Purchases" on the plan screen or in Profile. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to subscribe. You don't need an account.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles all payments and refunds, so we can't issue refunds ourselves. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, choose "Request a refund" and pick VTaper Max. Apple makes the decision. This doesn't limit any refund right you have under consumer law.

How much does it cost?

$11.99 per week or $49.99 per year (US prices), billed through your Apple ID. There's no free trial. If you close the purchase sheet without buying, the app shows a one-time offer of $24.99 per year, which expires after 24 hours. All plans renew automatically until you cancel. See the Terms of Use.

Your data

How do I delete my data?

In the app, go to Profile → Privacy and data → Delete all my data, then type DELETE to confirm. This wipes your scans, photos, answers and progress from your phone and gives the app a new random ID. It can't be undone, and we don't have a copy, so we can't restore it. Export first if you want a copy. To also delete the records on our servers, tap "Request deletion of server records" on the same screen first: it emails us your app ID.

Deleting your data doesn't cancel your subscription. Deleting the app also removes its data from your phone, but your iPhone backups may still hold a copy. For anything on our side, email privacy@vtapermax.app.

How do I get a copy of my data?

Go to Profile → Privacy and data → Export my data. The app makes a file with your scan history and photos that you can save or share.

Do you keep my photos?

No. Your face is pixelated on your phone before upload. The photos are analyzed in memory and deleted as soon as your scan is done. Your results are stored on your phone only. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Scans

How do I get a clean scan?
Why does it ask me to retake?

If the scan can't measure you reliably, for example because of low light, standing too close, arms touching your sides or part of your body out of frame, it asks for a retake instead of guessing a score.

Why does my trend take 6 check-ins?

Every photo scan has some noise: the waist estimate can vary by about 2 cm from one scan to the next. Real changes in 12 weeks are often about that size, so one week's change doesn't mean much. Until you have 6 weekly check-ins, each scan shows as a dot with its range, and the Scan tab says "Too early to call". After 6, the trend line appears.

Your waist usually changes first. Shoulders and neck change slowly, so they show "no measurable change yet" until a change is bigger than the scan's noise.

Is my score a medical measurement?

No. It's labelled "AI estimate". It's calculated from your photos by a fixed formula, so the same photos give the same score, but it's an estimate, not a medical measurement, and it can be wrong. Don't use it to make health decisions. For your own measurements, use the optional tape measure mode.

Training and safety

I feel pain or I've been injured. What should I do?

Stop the routine. Muscle effort and mild soreness for a day or two after a new exercise are normal, but pain isn't.

This is general information, not medical advice. It can't replace an assessment by a doctor or physiotherapist, and we can't tell how serious an injury is. If you're unsure, get checked. See also the health and safety section of our Terms of Use.
